Henna Belly Blessing

henna therapy

The pink house was originally created with a vision to bring together a passion for curating peaceful, cozy spaces and to provide henna adornment to offer to the community,

The practice of henna adornment, or “Mehndi”, roots far beyond the western ideals of its aesthetic beauty.

It has transcended time, religion, culture - its use being one of reverence all over the world. Practiced traditionally in Africa, India, and the Middle East, with traces of its first uses dating back to ancient Egypt, was used to stain mummies and their wrappings.

To be adorned with henna is an experience of sacred presence, stillness, celebration, prosperity, and reverence.

Henna therapy in the pink house is an offering of reverence, in honor of the henna tree and its sacred lineage.

What is henna?

Many have asked me what is henna? Henna comes from a tree - lawsonia inermis. the leaves from the tree contain a natural dye that stains skin, hair, nails, and even fabric. The leaves are crushed into a fine powder, which is mixed with water, raw sugar, and essential oils, to create the all-natural, 100% made-from-the-earth paste.
